The Self - Indulging-Oh-No-Tagged-Again-Journal

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 15, 2008, 5:17 PM
I was born like this, I had no choice
I was born with the gift of a golden voice
And twenty-seven angels from the great beyond
They tied me to this table right here
In the tower of song

I got tagged by :iconmattttttttthew: the other day.
Argh. Tagged again!!
Söta bror - I am planning on a cruel revenge!! :ninjastar: :bonk:
( söta bror simply means sweet brother - this is how Norwegians ironically adress our neighbours in the East, the Swedes, and that about wraps it up about the everlasting love/hate-relationship between our two countries...okok. so they have Volvo. but hey, who's got the OIL?!?! :lmao:)

Here we go again. 8 random facts about me. Hopefully I have not written all of them earlier...

1. I never knew any of my real grandmothers as they were both dead before I was born, and I lost both my dear grandfathers the summer I was 17.

2. Music was an important part of my childhood and still is. As most of you already know I sing a lot, but practically "everybody" in my family sings, plays an instrument or even works with music professionally at a high level.

3. My childhood sweetheart grew up to be a very handsome man - in his early twenties he went to Milano for some time to test his chances as a model, but soon found it more interesting to be in the other end of the cameralense and is now a professional photographer. He is still gorgeous. Dang! We should never have broken up...

4. I dreamt that my best friend told me she was pregnant three weeks before she actually told me this news herself over the phone. She was only 21 and had been with her boyfriend for just a few months, and she was surprised over my lack of surprise to this big news, but the dream had been very "real" - I already knew.

5. I am a mosquito magnet. Their love for me is however unrequited. :bug: :fear:

6. I am a gay magnet. If there is a gay in the crowd he (or she) is bound to find me. A lot more pleasant and fun kind of magnetism than the one with the mosquitos though - and in this case I love them back with all my heart. If it is my sense of humour or simply my smashing diva-factor that strikes them at once I would not know. Hm... Come to think of it, I don't want to know... :lmao:

7. I am a trouble magnet. I'll not explain this in further detail. Just use your worst imagination.

8. I have always had a good ear for languages and speak German fluently. In fact I used to speak it so well at the age of 19 that even Germans would not believe I was a foreigner. I had to show my passport once at a party in Austria to prove I was Norwegian, not German. The best friend of my German boyfriend at that time was very impressed with my langauge skills and adviced me to join the Secret Service. The cold war ended too soon for me to become a spy though...

all of them - or only the mosquitos?! :giggle: :bug:

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. :bug:
Hahah..Hallo wie geht's?
You should tell me your secret..because my German sucks.
Mir geht's gut, danke, bin zwar viel zu müde um kluge Hinweise zu geben -
my "secret" was having a German boyfriend for three years along with learing it at school.
in the beginning we both spoke English, but soon he spoke German to me while I answered in English, since I understood a lot more than I dared to speak (I wanted to speak perfectly and not like a baby) - but when visiting his parents who only spoke German I was forced to use all I knew, and after that I just switched over to German permanently... in the end I would even dream and think in German...
so good luck in finding a German, fall in love and learn the language:P

Hahaha..that's cute.
I think I will stay with the books because I already have a Lebanese...or force him to learn German with me :giggle:

Vielen Dank!
Then stick to your lebanese boyfriend and take him with you on a holiday to Germany! ;)
